monkey macaque in oblivion wildlife art

"In oblivion"
24x18 cm frame 37x32 cm
Oil on canvas (available)

A Japanese Macaque surrenders himself in an environment made of concrete.
The walls are sunlit, but the shapes refer to human made windows: men put him here. This painting shows the power of the surrender and submission animals are capable of.  'In oblivion' shows beside the 'forgotten animal' also the unconciousness or forgetfullness in the deeds of humans, towards animals.
